Level 8 Region 7
All-Around and Vault Champion
Morgan Fridey exhibited the kind of spirit and dedication to the sport of gymnastics this past Saturday at the Level 8 Regional Tournament that we all knew she was capable of. It was just a matter of time. Initiated to the sport by Jessie, coached diligently by Missy, Katie and Shannon and finally, her skills honed to a fine edge by Jen’s capable hands, Morgan took 1st Place All Around, 1st Place Vault, and 2nd Place Bars at the tournament against some tremendous competition from athletes representing Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
But that's not all!
The Gymnastic Center of Hershey has proved itself to be a force to be reckoned
with in the Central PA area and now is showing it’s skilled athletes can excel
in winning Region 7 competitions as well. In head to head match-ups with
nationally known Gymnastic Centers this year, GCH has established itself,
earning solid victories by our upper level athletes and the respect and
admiration of our coaching staffs by other gyms throughout the state and now
nationally.
After a fantastic 4th place overall finish at the Pennsylvania State Tournament, the Hershey Gymnastics Center Level 8 Team scored several amazing successes at the recent Regional Level 8 Tournament in Waldorf, Maryland against teams from Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

Katie Waite (Sr. B Level): Won 6th place vault with a 9.375 and 9th place floor with a 9.35.
Alex Wert (Jr. C Level): Won 2nd place floor with a 9.475.
Grace Long (Jr. A Level): Scored several personal bests at the event.
Morgan Fridey (Jr. B Level):Led all scorers in the six state event and took 1st All Around with a 37.525. She also won the vault with a 9.6 and was second in bars with a 9.4.
