September Gymnast of the Month Kaley
Kaley gets her athletic ability very honestly – both from her own hard work in the gym, but also thanks to great genetics. Her Mom taught gym/physical education and her Dad was a professional hockey player. Kaley, now a level 5 has been taking gymnastics at GCH for the past five years. Now only 8 years old, she skipped from TT3 to Little Aerials and has been advancing ever since. Her favorite event is Bars which she tied for 1st place at last years States meet on the outstanding Level 4 team. Kaley is equally adept at Math, her favorite subject in school. At this time she plans on being a teacher of Math and Physical Education. “That would happen after being in the Olympics and being a college gymnast on scholarship”, she smiles. Kaley’s favorite food is her Mom’s family recipe Spaghetti (with garlic-cheese bread). She likes living here in Pennsylvania with her two sisters and her brother, but also loves visiting her Dad’s parents in Saskatchewan, Canada. “It is unbelievably beautiful there”. She has a big loveable mutt named Dooley that does just three tricks: shakes hands, face licks and hugs. Kaley admits to being “bit by the Webkinz bug”. She now has 8 little stuffed urchins that she pampers: a pig, 3 frogs, a panda, a bulldog, a hippo and a platypus. If you want to show her your Webkinz collection or play games, GYMKAL allows you into the Webkinz world. Kaley is a hard working young athlete with a funny, softer side.
